accidentally). Near mile marker 11, NM Hwy 217 intersects with NM Hwy 333 (near mile

(aka Frost Rd)
Two lane highway (one each way), beginning at the Sandia

finishing 14 miles east when it changes into Santa Fe Rd 16. The speed limit changes
to 50 mph at mile marker 6 and reduces to 45 mph at mile marker 2. Unlike most New
Mexican roads, the mile markers decrease numerically as you travel eastwardly. There
is no passing on the highway, so it can be a problem if you get behind a slow vehicle.
