San Antonito (near Cedar Crest) can be found in central New Mexico, at the intersection of NM Hwy 14 (6 miles north of US Interstate 40, Exit 175, and 32 miles south of US Interstate 25, Exit 278) and NM Hwy 536.

The Sandia crest can be reached by vehicle.  From US Interstate 40, Exit 175, travel north on NM Hwy 14 to San Antonito (Mile Marker 5) and then travel northwest on NM Hwy 536 around 7 miles to the crest (north of Sandia Peak).  Call 281-3304 (when open) for more information.

The Sandia Peak and its skiing area can be reached by the US Interstate 40, exit 167 (travel Tramway Blvd/NM Hwy 556 north 8 miles from mile marker 15 to 7 at the first stop sign, Tramway Rd) or US Interstate 25, exit 234 (travel Tramway Blvd/NM Hwy 556 east 5 miles from mile marker 2 to mile marker 7 at the first stop sign, Tramway Rd.  From this location, travel east on Tramway Rd one mile to the base terminal of the Sandia Peak Tramway, which is the mode of travel to the Peak.

Traveling from the Peak to the crest or vice versa can only be done on foot along a path through the forest.
